Frequently Asked Questions

What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are made of very fine plastic fibers that mimic the look of real eyelashes.  They are applied one by one to your natural lashes.

Do they hurt? Will I lose my natural lashes?

No, eyelash extensions should not hurt during the service or once you go home, if applied correctly by a licensed professional.  The service is quite relaxing and often clients take a nap.  You will not lose your naturals if the service is done correctly by a technician who practices safe application methods and is knowledgeable in proper lengths/weights for each individual client.  A full set should never take less than 1.5hrs in order to maintain proper lash health.

How are they applied?

The extensions are applied while your eyes are closed with professional tweezers and adhesives.  Special pads & sensitive tape is used to protect the delicate skin around your eyes.  They are only applied to each of your natural lashes 2mm away from the root/skin, the adhesive never touches the skin.

How long do they last?

They last approximately 5 to 6wks, but begin looking less full as you naturally shed lashes daily.  Therefore, a fill is necessary every 2-4 weeks to maintain a full look.  The frequency in which the fills are necessary depend on the natural growth cycle of the person and the quality of the aftercare.

Can I wear make-up & get them wet?

Yes, you may wear certain types of makeup around the extensions, but avoid mascara and waterproof eyeliners or oil based concealers.  Yes, you may wet your lashes, infact you must wash them with lash shampoo daily and can even go swimming .

What is the difference between "CLASSIC & VOLUME"?

Classic is when 1 single thicker extension is applied to each of your natural lashes.  Volume, is a specialized technique in which 2 to 6 (or more=mega Volume) thinner/finer extensions are applied to each of your natural lashes, creating a fuller and darker look while still being lightweight (2D, 3D etc..)
